It’s been 5 weeks since I last sat down to write a blog post, time flies when you’re having fun, I guess!
Where I’ve been in July…
July’s been a crazy month… It started off with a little break in London with my sister, we spent a couple of nights in Canary Wharf, and an extra night in Notting Hill. After our little getaway I headed to Seoul for the first time. I was planning on getting some work done whilst I was away but the jet lag took it’s toll & I had no energy to stay up longer than a few hours. I did manage to head into the city centre for a spot of shopping though & ended up with a hoard of Korean face masks, despite already having a huge stock of them in my cupboard at home, from numerous trips to Sephora & China.

Seoul was interesting, to say the least. I’m not an overly big fan of the Far East (sorry guys!) I think I struggle to understand the culture a little bit, I also feel so far away from home when I’m there. I like my home comforts ha! Seoul is different to what I expected, the outskirts remind me slightly of Beijing, however the area is a lot cleaner & I felt like I could breathe a little bit more. I think it takes a little while to adapt to a completely new way of life/culture & this is difficult when I only spend a couple of nights there at a time, I’m hoping to be able to visit Seoul again soon, but for now, I’ll stick with California.

Speaking of California, this is where I’ve been spending the majority of my time over the past two months & I can’t complain about that at all! I’ve fallen in love with the state & I’m currently planning my dream road trip along the West Coast (I don’t know when I’ll be doing it just yet, but it’s on the cards!) I’m planning a few blog posts on my last few trips to Cali, I can’t wait to share them with you! I visited San Diego twice in June & I decided to bring Mark along with me for another trip a couple of weeks ago, we had the most incredible time. After our trip Mark graduated from University so we spent a couple of days celebrating before jetting off to San Jose for a few days together, Mark’s a bit of a ‘Techie’ so he loved everything about the city. I had a busy couple days off, visiting family & planning August, and ended up back in San Jose, where I’m currently sat in bed, thinking about food & which sun lounger I’m going to get when I vacate the room for a bit of sunbathing.

My Plans for August: My roster & a festival break with friends!
I received my work roster for August a few days ago, it’s going to be another busy month but I’m excited! First of all, I’ve got a little trip to Copenhagen – I’m over the moon to finally spend some time in a European city.
After Copenhagen, I’m heading to Cornwall for just under a week with my sister, Jess & some friends. We’re off to Boardmasters Festival on the final day of our holiday too, I’m looking forward to being back on he south coast, I haven’t been for about 5 years now! I have a couple of days to recover after the holiday, before I fly to Santiago in Chile (omg?!) I’d bid for this trip as I’ve never been to South America before, I don’t know exactly how I’m planning on spending my time there but it’ll be amazing! I have two days off and then I’m back to Johannesburg, this time I’m taking Jess & we’re planning a trip to the Edinburgh Festival for my days off afterwards.

In between all this I’ll be keeping myself busy writing posts & revising for my annual flying exams.
And that concludes my plans for the next 5 weeks. I know this busy body isn’t great at keeping a regular schedule when it comes to blog posts but I’m still working on it!
Thank you for reading & I’ll catch up again soon!
